Creative Submissions

Creative Submissions

Storybook Anytime Creative Submissions is looking for original creative works that are unique and interesting. This includes live action video, animation, children's music, and educational and fun games for kids. All submitted works should be age appropriate and suitable for children ages 3-9. Although education is a large focus for Storybook Anytime it is not a requirement for your content.

What does Storybook Anytime pay?

Storybook Anytime pays our contributors a flat royalty rate of 50% for each purchase of their accepted works. Payments are made quarterly and only after you have earned $50.00 USD or more from your sales.

What's the catch? — Exclusive online distribution agreement.

Storybook Anytime, as well as Sam's Interactive Reader, is known for its high quality content and market integrity. Because of this, we require that all contributors enter into an exclusive, digital rights only, distribution agreement. In lay terms this essentially means that you agree not to place the submitted content for sale, use or display anywhere else on the Internet, CD-ROM or DVD-ROM media. There are provisions for including your work in your online portfolio— so don't worry. You can certainly show off your fantastic work! For all the specifics please review our Artist Supply Agreement.

Technically Speaking, What file types can I submit?

All content assets are submitted as a single ZIP file. The main file types that should comprise your submissions are as follows:

  • Video Shorts or Animation [Quicktime Video — .MOV or Flash Video — .FLV ]
  • Children's Music [MP3 Audio — .MP3]
  • Educational and/or Entertaining Games [Flash — .SWF]

What's the process?

  1. Create New Account.

  2. Apply for Contributor Status.
To insure that you have a full understanding of the expectations and requirements of being a Storybook Anytime Creative you will need to review our detailed submission guidelines. Once you are familiar with the details, you'll have to take a quick test to finalize your qualification.
  3. Submitting Content.
Once you have achieved full contributor status, you can now begin submitting content. All submissions will be accepted or denied based on our detailed submission guidelines.
